Revenge of the Sith poster.. um, yeeaaah…

Okay not sure if y’all saw this yet, but the new Star Wars Episode III teaser poster is probably one of the crappiest posters I’ve seen in a long time, not to mention the whack Photoshop job done to it. It has Anakin Skywalker on the right and his crazy flowing cape forms the visage of Darth Vader on the left. I’m sure the idea “sounded” cool initially, but it just looks really stupid. I thought it was another joke, but they’re actually selling it on StarWars.com!

I actually liked the fake one where they took an image from Star Wars Insider of Anakin on the deck of a Rebel cruiser and you see a slight reflection of Vader on the floor. They could’ve used that idea and touched it up - it would be a better concept update to the kid Anakin shadow from the Episode I teaser poster. Hopefully a much better Drew Struzan painted, non-teaser poster will be out soon.

Yeah, so I think the official poster is so bad, that I won’t even show it on my site, haha.
But here’s a link: Is this really the best they can come up with?

MORE News: The first Episode III teaser trailer will be online Thursday, November 4th on StarWars.com’s Hyperspace club/forum sometime in the afternoon, let me know if you see it then. Then it will make its theactrical debut the next day with The Incredibles. Oh yeah! And let’s not forget a nice little teaser preview for Pixar’s Cars which comes out in 2005. That’s so boss.

More than meets the eye

Roll out!!!

Hahaha! I’m sure a bunch of you saw this quick Flash video at some point, but Natisha gave it to my attention just now, so it’s all new to me! :)

I love it! Nice little surprsie, haha. A little bit of nostalgia with the music, a lot of laughs with the randomness - using a La-Z-Boy box is just a great touch also! It pretty much made my week! Thanks ‘Tisha ;)

PSP on sale, Dec. 12 (Hey, that’s Natisha’s birthday!)

PSP value packBig announcement from Sony with the Playstation Portable being set to release on December 12 in Japan for a price of 20,790 yen (about $195.00) along with accesories and the such (including the pictured value pack. The battery life is supposed to be about 4-6 hours for game play or 4-5 hours for movies, not too shabby and equivalent to most laptops.

I agree with my friend Chris in that with the price Sony has set, they’re gonna lose a lot of money with each unit. Though, I think it will be really competitive with the Nintendo DS and it has potential for it to surpass the DS. I’m still just as much interested in the DS as before though the Sony bitch inside me is still thriving, haha. With all these portables around, I am going to put on hold my plans for a Treo 650 for a while (I can play with the PDA-like DS for now, haha) and hopefully in time another upgrade will come along with a better camera and more storage for the Treo.

Anyways, back to the PSP, I think it will do really well. Japan is a given but I think it can have a lot of success in the States. Sure portable systems like this are expensive - so you’d think mostly older gamers buy this stuff - but video games are still heavily geared towards kids and a bunch will no doubt be wanting this. Hmm, just seems like these days a lot of kids have so much money to spend. With like 8-year-olds carrying cellphones and junior high kids listening to iPods, why wouldn’t young gamer kids get chance to own a PSP. Craziness I tell you, craziness!

And you thought a Slime controller was impossible..

Slimer
Mike Levey would put this on an Amazing Discoveries infomercial, if he was still around. ‘Cuz you know, this thing IS amazing! I’m a big sucker for getting random game controller paraphernalia. I got Twin Sticks for Virtual On on Dreamcast, Bongos for Gamecube, Guncons for Time Crisis, and currently I have this fun wireless setup for all my consoles. Now this Hori Dragon Quest Slime controller is a whole new world.

I got into Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest’s old name in the States) and it’s follow-ups a long time before Final Fantasy. I don’t remember if we got the original game with a Nintendo Power subscription, but I remember playing it like mad with my brother, taking out slimes, dragons and drakees left and right. Ahh, the power of the NES. So, yeah, I guess you can say I’m a loyal fan to the Dragon Quest series.

DQ VIII is coming out soon for PS2 and this controller is just so gosh-darn-it-cute that it’s hard to pass up. It seems like every other Japanese girl gamer I know has a Slime plushie or something, so this thing definitely has some potential buyers. Apparently it plays well as a controller, has dual shock and you can even wind up the cord and have it displayed on your desk - yowzaa!

The Incredible Star Wars Teaser

Hmm.. so the blog title is supposed to refer to The Incredible Hulk, but whatever, hehe. ;-)

Now that I have wasted 5 seconds of your day, just want to mention that Cinescape posted yesterday that the new Star Wars Episode III teaser will be showing with Pixar’s premiere of The Incredibles on November 5. Though sometimes the trailers and teasers don’t show with all the prints of the movie, I think there’s a good chance it may hit a good piece of them. I’m guessing most of the theaters in Manhattan will have the teaser (if the release date is true) so let me know if any y’all are around and want to see the film together. Looks like a kick-ass movie anyways. :)

Supposedly the teaser will also be on Access Hollywood a day before The Incredibles, and it’s usually uploaded to StarWars.com at some point around or before the theater release. You can get it there, if you have a Hyperspace membership. If any of you get a link to the teaser or something like that, lemme know! I’ll make you a desktop image or something, haha! :-D
