Just a quick note..
Thanksgiving weekends mean getting ready to gain and lose 5-10 pounds, having fun family and friends disputes, and of course, cartoon marathons. One particular show that I would like to mention is - yup, you guessed it! - Kim Possible. This Sunday, November 28, on The Disney Channel there will be eight hours of that kooky, pop-culture fueled cartoon show - Jackie knows what I’m talking about, hehe.
Starting at noon until 8:00 PM will be 16 episodes of KP. The cool thing about it is that the episodes are in chronological order (I think). It starts off with a few episodes from the first season, and then the second, and finally showing the two more recent episodes from this year’s third season.
So if you’re not sick of me talking about the show yet and want to see what it’s all about, tune in this weekend. It’s good to check out a show like this in marathon form. It’s like Seinfeld or Arrested Development in which you really have to watch a few episodes so the characters can grow on you and you’ll find it more entertaining with knowledge on the series. I’m really curious what people think of the show - and make sure that I’m not as crazy as people think I am. Hmm… muahaha!

Whoa.. nearly two weeks since the last blog, hehe. Hmm, expect some surprises to the site after a Thanksgiving break
Anyways! IGN.com and The Magic-Box got some new screenshots of Nintendo’s new Legend of Zelda game for the ‘Cube. Without a doubt the most anticipated game of 2005 for me (even more than Wanda and the Colosuss, FF XII, DQ VIII, Conker and yes, even Super Monkey Ball 3, uhh.. joking haha), this game will definitely be worth the wait - something I’m hesistant to say for games like GT4 and its endless delays.
I’m a big fan of Wind Waker - a game I finally got to play through after about year from when I bought it, doh!
- but seeing a really fleshed out, non-stylized, realistic Link and Hyrule is something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Seriously, all of us who are 20+ years have got to have fond memories of the original NES Zelda and when you see the game as it is now, you just get a re-awakening on how much video games have evolved in the last two decades. Plus, if you haven’t seen the surprise E3 preview of the new Zelda yet, you can find it on Gametrailers.com with Zelda-type music, or get the initial public release from IGN.com with classic movie trailer music. Actually saw this two days ago on Dark Horizons, and wanted to write a worthy entry for it (no not another “Incredibles” novel, hehe) but just wanted to give a quick shout about it for now. Yeah so, Dark Horizons uploaded the new trailer on their site. This new Miyazaki film will come out in Japan on November 20th, so for all those friends of mine in Tokyo, let me know how it goes.
I read the book it was based on last summer and I really enjoyed it. A review of the movie was posted on Ain’t It Cool News, and he said it follows the book pretty well, though the ending was a little hard since it had to wrap-up a lot of plot in a short time. The book was like that too but it didn’t ruin the story at all - right from the beginning of the story, a lot is covered and it just keeps building up. The best part of the book are the diverse characters. Sort of in the reign of Harry Potter universe (though this book predates that), it’s sort of an elseworld mixture of modern day settings with magic and witchcraft. From reading the book I can see how Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki admire it. Like other Miyazaki’s work, it has a very strong female lead. Plus there’s a great sense of quirkiness and creativity in the universe that is created. I recommend reading the book - either before or after watching the film, whatever you like. It’s a good read no matter what.
Erf! Now I’m starting to write too much, maybe I’ll continue this later, haha. Cheers. ![]()

Ever since the beginning of the month (just last week, haha), I’ve sort of been a little game crazy. And why the hell not?! This month comes Halo 2, MGS3, Metroid Prime 2: Echos, Half-Life 2, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Capcom Fighting Evolution and even a brand new system, the Nintendo DS (and I’m sure I’m leaving out so many other games). Like I said before, the year’s end is just crazy with video games definitely being on top of holiday shopping lists. Now I always look for the games that are crazy, cool, quirky and that are a little “different.” Following my obsession with ICO, Rez, Virtual On (don’t know if they’re that crazy, but definitely not the industry’s big-budget hits), I learned a while ago that Alien Hominid was being made into a full-fledged console video game. Now this comes as a great surprise for me, because I (and I’m sure some of you) remember when this started out as a hit Flash game back in 2002. That game was hella cool, as well as the developers’ - The Behemoth - other creations. Newgrounds really helped spread the game to everyone’s attention and now the new game publisher O-3 Entertainment is releasing an all-new title on Gamecube and PS2.

Hi y’all! So it’s a pretty big day (in Nerd Land, erf!) Mozilla released Firefox 1.0, the browser I live by, even on Macs (you just get used to it, what can I say, haha). Plus, Bungie and Microsoft officially released their little baby Halo 2. It’s amazing that it’s like the best pre-sold game, and a projected $100 million game sales is in the horizon. I was a sucker (it’s the comic book collector in me) and picked up the Collector’s Edition with the coolass case and the DVD extras. It’s a nice little set - only 5 bucks more than the standard - though I have to say I was bummed that the case doesn’t have two separate disc holders (the DVDs are stacked together), but whatever that’s so minor. Nice little case, right up there with the Akira and Band of Brothers tin cases.
Now I was very very hesitant on getting this game, haha. But with all the talk from friends, I gave in. You know, you gotta show your support to a company like Bungie. I even signed up for XBox Live (game comes with a 2-month free trial, pretty snazzy!). Sooooo if you ever wanna play a game (at night EST, I have work during the day - if I can make it, haha) just look up my gamertag: Temjin2046. I suck, but I totally get a kick out of getting frags with a Covenant Energy Sword and stealing Ghosts (hehe ::snort-snort::). Okie dokie, happy gaming. Nerds rejoice! Yay! Hehe ![]()
