Remember those demo videos displaying the kind of graphics next-gen consoles will be capable of rendering? (I’ll find links, but some came out around E3 time and later.) Well on Magic Box, there are two conceptual images that may shed a little more light on what’s going to be out. Basically the shots are proposing that the realtime graphics will be very similar to all the FMV in games these days. While the Need for Speed Porsche Turbo looks a little nicer than a hi-res Gran Turismo shot, I’m looking more forward to Madden. To me, sports games have always been just a step behind in graphics, when compared to other game titles (and usually football games have the best graphics for sports). I can understand the dilemma, as the games come out each season with rosters changing and updating stats - meaning more face-mapping, motion capturing, legal issues, etc. It’s a challenge to create a worthy gaming experience everytime.

Yeah it’s really early to talk about all this, but this is just a random blog to begin with.
Next summer is going to be a lot of fun. A lot of big-budget films are coming out - which I always find entertaining whether they’re good or bad - and I’m not trying to let my expectations be too high for anything. I say this since Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Batman Begins are on the top of my list but having mixed feelings with both. Overall, though, I’m still just as eager to check them out. With those you got star-filled flicks like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Four, Kingdom of Heaven, Sin City (okay it comes out in April, whatever; these days people prepare for Christmas in October - it’s all crazy), Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Fun with Dick and Jane, War of the Worlds, Chicken Little, Cinderella Man, Pink Panther, The Island, yada yada yada. And what summer movies these days aren’t inspired by classic TV shows? This time around we got Bewitched and Dukes of Hazzard. Yeah, summer movies have become it’s own lottery - you just gotta make your picks and go for it.
Anyways, one film that I had a keen interest in a long time ago is Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
