ACM SIGCHI 2004, Student competition

“KONEKT Audience Voting System” for CHI 2004’s Student Competition, sponsored by ACM SGICHI.

The objective was to design an audience voting system for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Entries for the competition consisted of a poster and a written article. The poster displayed the voting device, how the system works, and a summary of our process work. The article went into further detail of how we came to our final product and utilized human-computer interaction fundamentals. An abstract of that article can be seen here.

Our team (members included Shung Pak, Ko Nakatsu, Brad Caraway, and myself) advanced to the semi-finals which were held at the CHI conference in Vienna, Austria.

The following is a 33 inch by 47 inch product poster to promote our concept and presented at the conference hall.
