Frito-Lay: Classic Lovers Roadblock Ads
Roadblock advertisement design for a Frito-Lay campaign. A project concept I worked on for The Viral Factory.
The idea was to associate the different brands of products and parody them with the classic genres of pulp romance novels. A number of different interactive microsites would be created to offer more playful, humorous content with the over-the-top romance novel panache. Online advertisements such as these would direct viewers to the sites.
These banners would be positioned at the far sides of a site and the content in the ads would interact with one another– in this case, the top and right side, creating a “roadblock” at the corner. My favorite part about these ads is the subtle humor in the initial frames, as the two banners seem completely separate, and then they connect and flow together.
